A Guide to the Best Minimalist Makeup Brands
The only roster you'll need for the ultimate "No-Makeup" Makeup look!
I have always believed that makeup is an art form in itself. It's a medium where there are no rules to follow; instead, it allows individuals to express themselves freely. Let's also remember that art is subjective, hence the freedom. But it also changes from generation to generation, and just like art, makeup will also have its own Renaissance, baroque, and other movements.
With makeup, however, the skin will always be in! I’m talking about the evergreen trend of minimalism. Enhancing it, and working with your natural features to express a more authentic version of yourself will never be the victim of time!
Now dont get me wrong, as much as I love a good dramatic eye or fall prey to trends as likely as the next girl, thanks to my eczema flare-ups, I’ve lately been into products that contain skin-loving ingredients and formulas. I now mostly prefer dewy, hydrating makeup over heavy full-coverage looks that sit between creases. I’d rather enhance my skin and flaunt it in (dare I say) its natural state! So if you are into minimal makeup like me, and are looking to invest in pieces that scream no-makeup makeup, here are some brands that I’m confident you’ll love. So without further ado, let’s get started.

Laney Crowell, the founder of Saie, designed her products, making skincare and clean ingredients her top priority. She claims that "each of the formulas starts with a base of nourishing skincare that's tailor-made for every product. Then we stack even more skin-loving ingredients on top, and the final layer is pigment."
Products I have and loved/ plan on buying from Saie-
The American vegan brand, with its chic packaging and signature suede makeup bag, is all the buzz in the makeup industry. The formulas are reputed to be buttery smooth and a dream to work with, leaving even Bella Hadid impressed.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s brand is similar to Illia, having a wide range of non-comedogenic formulations. The model promises that each of her products has at least five nourishing ingredients. She also wanted the collection to be versatile and have multipurpose textures that users could experiment with and play with.
P.S.- If there is one thing I’d urge you to buy from this list, it will have to be the luminous tinted serum, because I have never seen anything quite like it!
If you're like me and have dealt with eczema for most of your life, while also being someone who regularly wears makeup, then Tower 28 will surely hold a special place in your heart. Their blush was the first makeup item I bought for myself with my very first paycheck. So, yes, I have a sentimental attachment to the brand, but it's also the only brand that fully complies with all the regulations of the National Eczema Association. In Tower 28 we trust!
BeautyTok knows what's up with Jones Road, and more specifically, her lightweight foundation! The famous makeup artist, author, and founder of the cult favorite brand named after herself, Bobbi Brown, blessed us all minimal girlies with a more user-friendly, skin-like finish vertical brand.

Products that have stood out-
Illia is one of the pioneer clean beauty brands to enter the market, which strives to make products that are multi-use, hydrating, and lightweight, while also delivering long-lasting formulas that make our skin "look like skin." Sasha Plavsic, founder of Illia, states, “To me, the definition of clean is where safe levels of synthetic and non-comedogenic ingredients meet and align together to create an efficacious product that performs and lasts."
ICYMI- Non-comedogenic ingredients, contrary to most formulas, don't clog your pores and, have proven to take the acne-free beauty industry by storm.
